Links at Dover Coast Covid-19 Protocols


The spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has raised concerns for everyone. The Links at Dover Coast values the well-being of our customers and staff. We want you to know that your health & safety remains our top priority as we open up the golf course.

The Links at Dover Coast is following the lead of public health authorities and doing our part to limit the spread of the virus.

REMEMBER-If you feel unwell or have been in contact with anyone that has been ill in the past two weeks STAY HOME!

Here are our protocols we are putting in place for our customers and staff’s safety:


Pro Shop

  • 6 foot social distancing at all times MUST be adhered to
  • Increased cleanliness of our facilities especially in high traffic areas
  • All touch points in the pro shop will be disinfected regularly
  • Only three customers allowed in the pro shop at one time, floor distances will be marked off
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be placed inside the pro shop
  • Each pencil and score card will be provided by the pro shop staff
  • Notices throughout our facility for customers and employees to use caution and practice best hygiene methods to prevent the spread of the virus
  • We will be requiring our employees to stay home if they feel unwell or if they have been in contact with anyone that is exhibiting flu-like symptoms
  • Golf Canada handicap kiosk will be made available and disinfected after every use
  • Food/light snacks and beverages will be available for purchase for takeout only to take on the golf course

On Course Protocols

  • 6 foot social distancing at all times MUST be adhered to
  • All golfers are required to show up for their tee-time NO EARLIER THAN 15 MINUTES
  • The licensed areas adjacent to the pro shop will be closed and off limits until we are permitted to open by order of the province.
  • All transaction shall be credit or debit, NO CASH
  • Only two players allowed on the practice green at all times
  • Use of practice net will be allowed with players suppling their own balls
  • All power and push carts shall be disinfected after every use
  • Hand sanitizer stations will placed outside and inside the washrooms
  • Washrooms will be disinfected on an hourly bases
  • All bunker rakes will be removed
  • All ball washers will be removed
  • Please take your own garbage home with you
  • Each flagstick shall have a foam base in the beginning to eliminate a golfers ball from going into the hole, we will then transition to each flag having a Pin Caddy which allows the ball to fall into the cup, you then use your putter to pull up the lever to expel your ball.
  • Course marshals shall monitor play and make sure that all players are adhering to all protocols put in place by The Links at Dover Coast
  • On course beverage cart will be provided with strict 6 foot social distancing at all times
  • All transactions on the beverage cart will be credit or debit, NO CASH
  • No littering of any kind
  • All players shall refrain from touching found tees broken or otherwise and flagsticks

How to use the Pin Caddy


Arriving and Departing Procedures

  • ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN WITH PRO SHOP BEFORE GAINING ACCESS TO THE GOLF COURSE
  • 6 foot social distancing at all times MUST be adhered to
  • Follow entry sign to patio deck
  • Only three customers allowed in the pro shop at one time, floor distances will be marked off
  • After all transaction are completed in the pro shop the player shall exit the pro shop and follow exit sign from deck
  • All players must then check in with the course starter
  • Any walk ups shall be put in que and a waiting area shall be provided
  • Only single riders will be allowed on a power cart unless other rider lives in the same household
  • No loitering in parking lot, please leave property upon completion of round.

The Links at Dover Coast will continue to monitor the recommendations of government and health officials as well as industry best practices and pass along relevant information and updates as necessary.
